1.1 Kettimelaam Weddings is a wedding services marketplace connecting customers with verified vendors across all 38 districts of Tamil Nadu. We act as an intermediary marketplace — all services are provided by independent verified vendors.
1.2 By using our platform you confirm you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
Our 15 services are grouped by risk profile. Each group has different advance %, refund timelines and payment rules:
Group A (Melam, Music x2, Dance, Priest, Transport) — Pure time risk. Customer always gets 90% refund.
Group B (Photography) — Split release: 60% after event day, 40% after photo delivery. Timeline refund.
Group C (Chariot, Beauty) — Time + small material risk. Timeline refund.
Group D (Flowers, Stage Decoration) — Perishable material risk. Timeline refund.
Group E (Marriage Hall) — High opportunity loss. Minimum 30% advance. Strictest refund policy.
Group F (Catering) — High perishable + production risk. Minimum 25% advance. Milestone-based refund.
Group G (Wedding Dress) — Amazon model. Full payment upfront. Delivery-based dispute flow.
Group H (Invitation Cards) — Delivery date mandatory. Milestone-based refund.
3.1 A booking is confirmed only after: (a) vendor accepts within 18 hours, and (b) customer completes advance payment. 3.2 A non-refundable booking fee is collected at time of booking (see Payment Policy). 3.3 Vendor contact details are NOT displayed publicly — only shared after booking confirmation upon request.
All payments must be made through the KettiMelaam platform. Direct payments to vendors are strictly prohibited. Payment is split into advance + balance per your selected plan. See Payment Policy for full details.
⚠ All cancellation requests MUST be submitted in writing to grievance@kettimelaamgroups.com. Verbal or WhatsApp cancellations are NOT accepted.
Refund percentages depend on your service group and when you cancel. Full details are in the Payment & Refund Policy page.
Vendor phone numbers and email addresses are NOT displayed publicly to prevent platform bypass. After a booking is confirmed, customers may request vendor contact by emailing grievance@kettimelaamgroups.com with their invoice number.
All disputes subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
8.1 Kettimelaam Weddings acts solely as an intermediary marketplace. We are not a party to any service agreement between customers and vendors. 8.2 Our total liability in any dispute shall not exceed the booking fee paid on that specific booking. 8.3 We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from vendor non-performance, delays or service quality issues. 8.4 Vendor services, quality and conduct are the sole responsibility of the respective vendor.
Neither Kettimelaam Weddings nor any vendor shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control including but not limited to: natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, government orders, riots, epidemics, pandemics, strikes, power failures or acts of God. In such events customers are entitled to a full refund of advance paid minus the non-refundable booking fee.
10.1 Kettimelaam Weddings complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India). 10.2 Your personal data is collected solely for the purpose of facilitating wedding service bookings. 10.3 We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties except as required to fulfil your booking (e.g. sharing booking details with your confirmed vendor). 10.4 You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data at any time by writing to grievance@kettimelaamgroups.com. 10.5 Data will be retained for 3 years after last activity and 7 years for transaction records as required by law.

To process bookings, send confirmations and reminders, improve our platform, generate donation certificates and comply with legal obligations.
Vendor phone numbers and emails are kept confidential and only shared with confirmed booking customers upon specific admin-verified request.
All data stored on Google Firebase with SSL/HTTPS encryption. Access restricted to authorized KettiMelaam staff only.
Customer account data retained for 3 years after last activity. Booking records retained for 7 years for legal compliance. Enquiry data retained for 1 year.
You may access, correct or delete your data by emailing grievance@kettimelaamgroups.com. Account deletion processed within 30 days.

Full payment collected upfront. Delivery date selected by customer (suggested: 14 days before wedding). If there is an issue after delivery, customer must raise dispute within 48 hours and choose: (a) Request Refund — for wrong item or significantly not as described. (b) Request Vendor Contact — to resolve directly with vendor. Change of mind is NOT accepted as a return reason.

Payment to photographer is released in two stages: 60% on the event day (when photographer completes the shoot), and 40% after photo delivery and customer confirmation. This protects both parties.
If vendor cancels — customer receives full refund + 5–15% compensation. KettiMelaam finds a replacement at no extra cost.
